Although some people cringe at the idea of cutting their hair, this is actually one of the best steps you can take in maintaining the health of your hair! Book a trim, consult with your hairdresser as to what home-care shampoo, conditioner and treatments are best for your hair type and make a plan. Getting regular trims and weekly at home/ or monthly in-salon treatments will help to improve both the look and feel of your hair.
2. Cold Water Rinse
A cool hair rinse, this is one of the easiest ways to boost hair-growth! Before you jump out of the shower give your hair a quick rinse with cooler water (focus on mid-lengths/ends-not scalp) not only will it remove excess product without stripping away all the moisturising ingredients, it will close down the cuticle cells. This has two benefits; it locks those nutrients from your shampoo and conditioner and water inside the hair strand, and when the cuticle layer is closed, the cells lay more smoothly, which makes light reflect better off the hair, more reflection equals more shine!
