1. Start 2020 with a bang!

From the red carpet to the latest awards we can clearly see that bangs have decided to stay around for a little longer yet! We are seeing a variety of blunt fringes, curtain, side sweep, to the statement baby fringe! From straight to wavy and curly we are seeing all hair types embrace the bangs; regardless of what you choose, leave the cutting to a professional! Come talk to one of our stylists at Solace about what style would best frame your face in a flattering way!

Dakota Johnson with her soft locks paired with a curtain fringe. A curtain fringe is a fringe cut in an inverted ‘V’ shape, the shortest part of the cut is where you would wear the parting in the fringe. When being cut from the shortest point, the shape of the cut is angled down gradually, and hair is left longer towards the top of the cheek bones. This softens the facials and is the perfect look to make the face appear elongated.

Often trimmed dry and vertically, a wispy fringe like Halle Berry’s looks good on everyone who wants to make a small change with maximum impact!

2. The Versatile Bob

Women want more versatility than ever before and can easily achieve a sleek and sophisticated bob with the right length for your face. You can add tousled texture for a more youthful and casual look. Product is key when it comes to the Bob and knowing what product’s best suit your hair type, and what products are going to help you achieve your desired look, is going to be the key to saving you a lot of styling time.

You can achieve a more structured, sophisticated bob by keeping it straight and adding volume products like Aveda’s Thickening Tonic which Instantly thickens hair and expands strands from roots to ends. Which makes the hair appear fuller and thicker. Pair it with Aveda’s Shampure Dry Shampoo which naturally absorbs excess oil which freshens and gives the hair a little extra added texture at the roots.

After a more textured bob? Add some heat-styling curls that will enhance the cuts structure! Prep the hair with Aveda’s Heat Relief before using any hot tools, add one of our biggest sellers Texture Tonic that defines and enhances natural texture and creates piece-by-piece definition that looks effortlessly ‘undone’ – When booking in for a restyle cut mention to the stylist what curls best suit your cut. If you allocate enough time for styling after the stylist has cut we can step you through what products and tools will best suit you!

4. Buttery blondes and Bronde

If you can’t make up your mind over whether to go light or dark for summer, ‘bronde’ is for you. A warm and glossy look, the main benefits of this hair colour are that it’s achievable and low-maintenance; keeping hair super healthy while offering light and shade for pops of colour and brightness!

Cara Delevingne; from the many hair changes of Cara, we would have to say this is one of our faves! Its fresh, feminie and the bronde just works so well with her complexion!

5. Curly and Colourful

Add highlights to define those curls or balayage for a low-maintenance high-impact style by having the colour contrast it brings more depth to the curl and really makes the hair pop! Think caramel-blonde tones or subtle pieces of rich brown through deeper-toned strands!

Serena Williams rocking her maintained fro, we love her bold colour contrast of her natural root with a warm balayage!

6. And for the men, add some spice to your style this 2020!

Sick and tired of the faded sides and longer top try something different, next time your in ask your stylist what cut would best suit you, your style and lifestyle?

Pompadour all the way!

Spice up your style and bend it like Beckham with going even shorter on the back and sides, think peaky blinders! This all time classic, is funky yet gentleman-like! With 3-4 week buzz and blend cuts on the sides and back you’ll have your hair looking fresh and on trend!
